Shelter Bay Sauvignon Blanc

From the prestigious Jackson Estate Winery in Marlborough. The fruit for this wine comes from Jackson’s homestead vineyard, where well weathered and free-draining river gravel soils ensure the vines produce intensely aromatic, vibrantly fruited and refreshingly crisp wines. The 2017 Shelter Bay Sauvignon Blanc is pale in colour with beautiful texture and wonderful acidity. Intense and powerful aromas of blackcurrants, gooseberry and passionfruit abound.

Pair with: white meat, salads, seafood, thai cuisine, grilled vegetables

The Squire Chardonnay by Briar Ridge

Briar Ridge is the largest holder of vineyards in the Mount View sub-region of the Hunter Valley. Many of their vines have been growing for 45 years, providing them with fruit of outstanding quality and unique character, thanks to Mount View’s location in an unmatched part of the Hunter. For Briar Ridge it has always been about embracing every facet of growing, making and enjoying quality wine. The combination of soil, aspect and the micro climate are what make the difference – giving their wines delicious flavours and characters unlike any other.

This lovely Chardonnay crafted by Gwyn Olsen finds the balance between fruit, minerality, acid and oak. It’s not too modern, not too old school, just smack bang in the middle.
In the glass: Pale lemon with a green hue.
On the nose: Nectarine and citrus.
On the palate: Textural, vibrant and juicy with a core of melon and citrus, zesty acidity and background cashew oak. There’s a salty, umami layer and hints of oyster shell adding complexity throughout.

Pair with: cheese platter, pumpkin ravioli or pumpkin pie, chicken, pork or turkey

Precious Little Grüner Veltliner

The Precious Little Wine label was founded by mates – viticulturist Adam Smith and winemaker Marty O’Flaherty in 2016. The competitive duo played cricket against each other and have been mates who have shared a friendly and sledge-filled rivalry ever since. They jumped on the opportunity to create a brand forged on their desire not to become the next “big volume commercial” success but instead craft “unique and precious little parcels of fruit” into intriguing small batch wines.

Grüner Veltliner (Green Veltliner) is a white wine grape variety grown primarily in Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. This wine has an intriguing note of tarragon and musk on the nose, along with the lifted florals. A palate of white stone fruit with lime, grapefruit and herbal elements and a light, lingering zesty finish.

Pair with: richly flavoured foods, spiced food, rich foods

Richard Hamilton Colton’s GSM

Richard Hamilton Wines are reflective of the distinctive McLaren Vale region with its Mediterranean climate producing great value, fruit driven wines. All the components of this wine have come from Hamilton’s Farm Block, on the southern edge of the McLaren Vale township. The individual varieties were fermented separately and matured in seasoned oak to retain fruit dominance. The style of the wine is based on the mouth filling texture provided by Grenache and structure and density characteristic of Shiraz and Mourvèdre. The Colton homestead overlooks the gently sloping ‘Farm Block’ on which the varieties sourced for this wine are grown.

Pair with: roasted meat, stews, roast turkey or game meat

Spencer Hill Latitude 41 Pinot Noir
