1 x Churchview St Johns Zinfandel
1 x Leconfield McLaren Vale Shiraz
1 x Fowles The Rule Shiraz
Churchview St Johns Zinfandel – We describe this Margaret River powerhouse as Christmas pudding in a bottle. The nose displays vibrant aromas of plums, black cherries, tobacco, coffee, mocha, chocolate, and vanilla oak nuances. The palate is mouth filling and rich with ripe plums, overlaying cherries and some lovely spice with raisins intagrated with chocolate and cocoa. The finish is long soft and an amazing contrast of dark fruits, chocolate and spicy oak, nuts fresh cherries and vanilla.
Leconfield McLaren Vale Shiraz – The inherent fruit vibrancy of the wine comes from Leconfield’s McLaren Vale ‘Farm’ block. 100% Oak Matured for 16 months (21% new French oak, 41% 2 year old French oak, 28% 3 year French oak), this is a stylish wine, full of flavour in which the seamless, silky tannins mould with the concentrated fruit to provide richness, yet it retains a tight, elegant structure.
Fowles The Rule Shiraz – The biggest and boldest red made by Fowles wine in the Strathbogie Ranges of Victoria. The Rule Shiraz is inky deep dark purple in colour. Immediately recognisable aromas of ripe berries, dark chocolate, clove and mocha leap from the glass, together with some vanilla from the French oak barrels. The palate is big with rich, ripe fruits, warmth, spice and some balanced sweet oak flavour.
