Located in the coveted south end of Heathcote, McIvor Estate nestles in the sought-after granite soil, framed by the Great Dividing Range.
Established in 1997 by owners Gary and Cynthia Harbor, McIvor Estate boasts the highest altitude vineyards in the region along with Heathcote’s oldest plantings of Nebbiolo and Sangiovese. Modelled on an Italian mixed farm, the property yields award winning wines, an olive grove producing oils and fruit, and a small herd of Murray Grey breeding cows to keep an eye on things!

Here are some of our favourites from McIvor.
McIvor’s Rose is made from Sangiovese grapes – rich crimson in colour. It has light stone fruit aromas and savoury herbs, hints of berries and flowers.
And two of our favourite reds, the McIvor Estate Shiraz, full of dark chocolate and spice flavours with blueberry and rich fruitcake spice. And Mr Mundy Merlot, a wonderful Merlot, with cassis and plum supported by superfine tannins and subtle oak.
Two bottles of each of these beauties will make a great addition to your wine rack, but if that’s not enough we’re putting in a bottle of Gary and Cynthia’s Olive Oil – perfect to drizzle on a Caprese salad or to toss through a pasta, while you decide which of these wines to open first!
